What is PHQ?

The Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ) is a validated diagnostic and severity assessment tool for depressive disorders. A number of different versions exist, each with their own benefits and tradeoffs.

In our questionnaires, we use the PHQ-8 which has been shown to be highly effective. Additionally, we use the PHQ-4, an ultra-brief questionnaire, to assess depression and anxiety.
